Welcome to Baer Swords School of Western Martial Arts on Pluck. Founded by Baer Kenney in Kansas City, this is a HEMA school built on a simple idea - as Baer puts it, "Baer Swords was created to give people interested in learning how to fight with swords a place where they could come together, learn, have fun, and meet new friends along the way." Whether you found us because you want to compete, get in shape, or you just really want to swing a longsword on a Tuesday night, you're in the right place.
Inside this Pluck you'll find the whole school gathered up - our story and mission, our HEMA classes, private lessons, our annual SwordStrong KC tournament, and the story behind Baer's bestselling book The Joy of Sword Fighting. Poke around, read what interests you, and when you're ready to walk through the door your first class is $10.
A quick hello from Baer Swords and a map of what you'll find inside - classes, private lessons, the book, SwordStrong KC and more.
